CanResidency Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CanResidency handles your data.

1. Scope
   This policy applies to the mobile app CanResidency.

2. Data we process
   Data may include records you provide or authorize, such as travel dates, destination country, purpose, notes, PR settings, temporary residence records, and optional location samples when location tracking is enabled.

3. No in-app account creation
   The app does not require in-app account registration or login. We do not maintain a user account database for this app.

4. Purpose of processing
   Data is used to provide residency-day calculations, progress views, reminders, charts, and export features.

5. Storage and sync
   Data is stored locally by default. If iCloud sync is enabled on your device/account, data may sync through Apple iCloud services. We do not upload this app data to our own servers.

6. Timezone basis
   Day-level calculations use Canada timezone (America/Toronto) to keep consistent counting behavior.

7. Permissions and location
   Location access is optional. If granted, location data is used for app features and can be disabled in iOS Settings at any time.

8. Export and sharing
   Export is initiated by you. Exported files may contain personal travel details. You are responsible for where and how these files are shared.

9. Payment-related information
   Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple. We receive purchase entitlement status needed to unlock features, but not full payment card data.

10. Retention and deletion
    You can modify or delete records in-app. Uninstalling the app removes local app data from the device. iCloud backup/sync data is managed through your Apple account settings.

11. Children
    The app is not directed to children under 13.

12. Policy updates and contact
    We may update this policy from time to time.
